Siberian iris, lupine and roses in full bloom, and I was home to see it this year! Teaching travel often keeps me away during this short but spectacular season.
I planted these Siberians as a row crop in between the willow beds in (I think) 2003. We're going into our eighth year of drought, another year when it's not looking like these leaves will be prime for coiling. But the flowers are so pretty it's hard to think ahead to the harvest right now and we're just enjoying their beauty.
